yea me too it is really easy and extremly powerfull. The only downside I know is that it isn't 3d data, because if it was you could is it in Max,C4D,Maya,Blender and all those others.

Yep... would be great to export those landscapes to other program, but I think the goal of terragen is to make realistic natural places like pictures, and if you want to use a model created in other 3D program, you can add it, and make your image, or even your animation if you want. But I'm agree, if the export was bidirectional it would be even better :P

Yea because most landscape generating tools in 3D programs are just awwfull.
Why doesn't Maxon just buy Planetside? that way C4D would be the #1 3D program for almost everything (as far as it isn't already the best program:)).

Haha well, C4D is a great program. I don't have much idea in 3D, I did some stuff some years ago but then I focused more in programming and other things, but as far as I know, and what I saw when I modeled a few, Softimage|XSI is one of the best programs I used. It was like a 3DS plus Maya, and it had an amazing render and animation tools.
I don't know how is it now, when I used it it was 3.5 version so I think it should be much better now hehe
